Two in critical condition after being run into by a car at Nkawkaw Domeabra
In the Eastern region of Nkawkaw Domeabra, two people are in severe condition after being hit by a saloon car that slammed into a hair salon.
A Hyundai Elantra saloon car with the license plate ER 796-21 struck and killed the two victims, a yam vendor and a Mobile Money vendor, as they were walking along the road.
Suddenly losing control and veering off the road, the driver, according to eyewitnesses.
Eyewitnesses who narrowly avoided being struck described how they spotted the automobile coming but were unable to warn the victims in time out of concern for their safety.
The proprietor of the hair salon and other locals hid in the gutters and close-by stores when they noticed the car coming.
However, the car knocked down the Mobile Money vendor and also rammed the yam seller into a nearby kiosk before screeching to a halt.
It took onlookers great effort to free the victim who was stuck in between the kiosk and the car.
The Mobile Money vendor was unresponsive while the yam seller sustained serious injuries in her legs.
The victims were rushed to the Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital.
