Members of the 1996 year group of Tweneboa Kodua Senior High School at Kumawu in the Sekyere Kumawu district of Ashanti region have presented fifteen(15) sewing machines with accessories to the home economics department of the school to help promote (TVET) education.
The presentation according to the members is to help promote Technical and Vocational Education and Training(TVET).
The chairman of the group, Mr Bismarck Agyen-Manu said the group considered the need to support students who are offering Vocational and Technical programs at the school to go through practical work.
but finding it difficult to get access to sewing machines for practicals.
Mr Agyen Manu stressed the need for students to embrace TVET since it will help to address the unemployment situation in the country.
The group however pledged to rehabilitate home economics department to encourage the students to learn.
He used the opportunity to advised the students to take advantage of free senior high school program to learn and come out with frying colors.
The headmaster of the school, Mr Michael Amponsah expressed gratitude to the group and asked other year groups to return to the school with their support.
