Tragedy Strikes in Madina: Businessman Kills Wife’s Alleged Lover After Multiple Warnings
A quiet neighborhood in Accra’s Madina area has been left in shock following the death of a man allegedly killed by a businessman over suspicions of an affair with his wife.

The incident, which occurred late at night on Saturday, August 9, 2025, involved 45-year-old businessman Kwesi Adom and 38-year-old Emmanuel Boateng, a casual laborer residing in a nearby compound.
According to reports, Kwesi had on several occasions accused Emmanuel of pursuing his wife, Akua, despite repeated verbal and public warnings. Friends of Kwesi confirmed that he had openly discussed his concerns, even posting on social media about his determination to protect his marriage.
Eyewitness accounts suggest that on the night of the incident, Kwesi caught Emmanuel in what he perceived to be a compromising situation with his wife. In a fit of rage, he allegedly stormed Emmanuel’s residence and attacked him with a sharp object, killing him instantly.
Following the fatal assault, Akua reportedly fled the area, fearing for her safety. Neighbors claimed she was worried that her husband might harm her next.
Tensions quickly rose in the community, with some residents attempting to retaliate against Kwesi. However, swift intervention by officers from the Accra Regional Command prevented further violence. Kwesi was arrested on the spot and is currently in police custody, facing charges of murder as investigations continue.
The incident has stirred widespread conversation in Madina and beyond about jealousy, domestic violence, and the dangers of allowing unresolved marital disputes to escalate. Local leaders have urged residents to remain calm, emphasizing that disputes—no matter how personal—must be handled within the confines of the law.
Police authorities have also reminded the public to report any threats to the appropriate agencies and to seek peaceful conflict resolution rather than resorting to violence.
Both families are said to be devastated by the tragedy and have requested privacy as they come to terms with the shocking events.
