The people of Takorase in the Amansie South District have expressed deep appreciation to their Assembly Member, Hon. Dominic Bonsu, and his unit committee members for their tireless efforts in bringing monumental development projects to the community.

Speaking at a brief gathering following the sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of a 20-seater water closet toilet facility for the town, traditional leaders and residents commended Hon. Bonsu for his visionary leadership and commitment to the well-being of the people.

The project, which is expected to be completed within months, is part of a broader effort to improve sanitation and hygiene in Takorase. Community members described it as a timely intervention, given the long-standing challenge of inadequate toilet facilities in the area.

Earlier, Hon. Bonsu had championed the rehabilitation of a major bridge that links Takorase to neighboring communities, a development that has greatly improved transportation, farming activities, and local trade. Residents say this bridge project alone has eased years of struggle, especially during the rainy season when movement was often disrupted.

At the sod-cutting ceremony, traditional leaders poured libation and offered prayers to the ancestors, invoking divine and ancestral protection for Hon. Bonsu, his unit committee, and the contractors, so they can continue to bring meaningful development to the community. one of the elders of the town, praised the Assembly Member’s efforts, saying, “For many years, we have longed for leaders who listen and act. Hon. Bonsu has proven that true leadership is about service. The bridge and now this toilet facility are testimonies of his dedication.”

Residents also joined in showering praises on the Assembly Member, urging him not to relent but to continue lobbying for more projects such as potable water, improved roads, and educational facilities.

Hon. Dominic Bonsu, addressing the gathering, expressed gratitude for the show of love and support, assuring the community that he and his team remain committed to ensuring Takorase receives its fair share of development. “We are just beginning. With unity and God’s help, we shall achieve even more for this community,” he pledged.

The event ended with communal prayers and thanksgiving, as the people of Takorase renewed their trust in Hon. Bonsu’s leadership, hopeful that the projects underway would transform the community for generations to come.
