Teacher reveals how he fell in love with his SHS 2 student amid GES rules, set to marry Teacher set to marry SHS student
A teacher by name MJ in Accra has revealed how he fell in love with his SHS 2 Home Economic student the first day he stepped foot in the class.
According to the teacher, he got cribbed in the lady’s beauty, curves, and character, this made him propose to the student and she said yes.
“I fell in love with my student and we’ve been dating since 2013. I didn’t care, or couldn’t control my emotions. She was in SHS 2, 16 years, and in fact, the Girls’ Prefect (the Form 3s had just handed the prefectship mandate to them).
Very beautiful, humble, intelligent, and irresistibly curvy. The day I entered her class, Home Econs, I just felt that’s HER! I PROPOSED, she ACCEPTED!” he said
According to MJ, after recognizing that, he couldn’t control his feelings about his student, he quickly informed his headmaster to make amends.
The Headmaster then helped him by advising him and also changed his class from Home Economics to General Arts to avoid combining Profession and Academic works with Relationship issues.
“I informed the Headmaster about our affair. And very fatherly, and surprisingly, he didn’t resist us. He rather advised (and still advises) us. He changed my class, from Home Econs to G. Arts, and ensured my girl and I minimally “crossed paths” academically or professionally lest objectivity be compromised“
According to MJ, there was no turning back now and all he got to do was to make his student-girlfriend pass her WASSCE successfully by organizing extra tuition for her after school.
I gave my girl some free extra tuition and the WASSCE, she passed with distinction as the best of the school. A feat she dearly owes to me, according to her

Fast forward, she has graduated from LEGON and through a banker friend of mine, she now works with one of the top banks in Ghana. As I take a passionate look at our Wedding Invitation Cards (our wedding takes place this coming Saturday) and with tears in my eyes, my mind takes me through memory lane and a lot of “what ifs” come to mind.
Counsellor Daniel Fenyi, I share my story with you because you were invited as Guest Speaker to our church programme sometime ago and you made a profound statement that, “… a Law is reasonable if it’s not made to only ‘resist’ the bad, but also, ‘regulate’ the good. Ghana has a lot of unreasonable laws. Many of our Laws were made to “fight/resist” the evil as if there are no good people around who deserve guidance, regulation and protection”.
I felt that was deep and I’ve been following you on social media since then.I think GES’ law on the blanket ban on teacher-student relationship is a BAD LAW. They should review it and make allowance for the good-intentioned teachers. Counselor, tell them that the flow of EMOTIONS, just like Water, cannot be RESISTED.
