Hon. Agyemang Ernest Donates Three Televisions to Boost Learning in Agogo-Sukuumu KG Schools

In a determined effort to uplift early childhood education in his community, Hon. Agyemang Ernest, the Assembly Member for Agogo-Sukuumu Electoral Area in the Asante Akim North Municipality, has donated three brand-new television sets to three local Kindergarten (KG) schools.
The beneficiary schools—Agogo Presby KG, Agogo Ebenezer KG, and Agogo Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) KG—received the televisions during a brief presentation ceremony held in Agogo. The initiative is aimed at introducing audio-visual learning methods to support effective teaching at the foundational level.
Hon. Agyemang Ernest, speaking to the media, noted that the donation was in fulfillment of a promise he made during the December 19, 2023 District Assembly Elections.
“I assured my constituents that if they gave me the mandate, I would do everything within my power to improve key sectors such as education, health, and sanitation,” he said. “The people of Agogo-Sukuumu believed in me, and today I am here fulfilling part of that commitment.”
He recounted a visit he made to Agogo Presby KG on November 14, 2024, where he observed the lack of modern teaching tools in the classrooms. That experience, he said, inspired him to make this donation to create a more engaging learning environment for children.
“These television sets will be used to show educational videos, teach basic concepts in a fun and interactive way, and help our little ones develop visual literacy skills,” he explained. “We must give our children every opportunity to succeed, starting from the very beginning.”
Hon. Agyemang used the opportunity to call on individuals, NGOs, and government agencies to support similar efforts across rural schools. He emphasized that education should be a shared responsibility and that no child should be left behind due to a lack of resources.
Teachers and school heads expressed deep appreciation for the donation, describing it as timely and impactful. They assured the Assembly Member that the televisions would be used efficiently to enhance classroom instruction.
Parents and community leaders also praised Hon. Ernest for taking action so early in his tenure and for prioritizing the needs of young learners.
The Assembly Member reaffirmed his commitment to pursuing more developmental projects, especially in education, as he continues to work for the progress of Agogo-Sukuumu Electoral Area.
