The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Sunyani East Constituency, Hon Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon Ansu Kumi, the Constituency Chairman, Mr Bartholomew Nathaniel Incoom together with other constituency Executives on 19th May 2022 inaugurated:
1. A 3-unit classroom Project at Abesim SDA Basic school
2. A 2-unit KG block with 4-seater W/C , a shower , an office , a kitchen and a reservoir at the Police Basic School.
These projects forms part of the numerous classrooms projects the MP has championed within his constituency.
Speaking at the brief inaugural ceremonies, the MP underscored the importance of Education and his resolve to help enrol all school going age.
“Education is very critical in our modern day life, in fact it is the pivot that anchors Modern development and so my passion to get the facilities to augmenting the other factors that make teaching and learning effective is one that I would continue to pursue for the benefit of our constituency “, he explained.
On the Part of the MCE, He touched on the need for a vigorous maintenance culture on the projects whilst lauding the many developmental projects the MP has been executing with a promise to continuously hold hands with the MP to ensuring a complete development of the Constituency.
Speaking on behalf of the Police Basic School, the Bono Regional Commander, DCOP Joseph Gyamerah Eklu explained how elated they are for the facility given how fast and beautiful the work has been completed.
He explained “ when I told the IGP, Dr Akuffo Dampare of your intention, he couldn’t hide his joy as he extends his appreciation to you with tones of encouragement for you to continue on this path.”
Speaking on the SDA facility , the headmistress of the School touched on the importance of the facility and she described it as crucial and timely.
The Municipal Education Director intimidated that, “even though I am new in the municipality but when I took over the helm of affairs, your many interventions in the educational sector in our Municipality stood out and I am not surprised you are again making my administration easier and making me feel at home.”
