Former Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari has won his first trophy with Accra Hearts of Oak after joining them as a free agent weeks ago. Sulley Ali Muntari was part of the Accra Hearts of Oak squad that beat Asante Kotoko 2 – 1 to clinch 2022 President’s Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Patrick Razak got the two goals for Accra Hearts of Oak while Samuel Boateng fetched the consolation goal for Asante Kotoko. All goals were produced in the second half of the game as the first half failed to witness goals amidst goal bound chances that were created by both teams.
Sulley Ali Muntari started the game for the Phobians in the midfield and managed to showcase what he is known for, as he became the toast of supporters. In the early part of the first half, the former Liberty Professionals player caught the attention of the numerous fans after delivering a long range shot which was latched on by striker Kojo Obeng Junior.

Asante Kotoko pulled parity via Samuel Boateng and Patrick Razak sealed victory for coach Samuel Boadu and his lads.
Asante Kotoko tried to conjure magic by getting the final equalizer deep into stoppage time but that was not enough to stop Accra Hearts of Oak from emerging champions of this year’s President Cup staged at the Accra Sports Stadium.
