“Solomon Jabari Pledges to Restore Peace and Unity as He Declares Atwima Kwanwoma NDC Chairmanship Ambition”

Solomon Jabari, the Chairman of the NDC Island–City Branch in Kumasi, has officially declared his intention to contest the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency Chairmanship of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2026 elections. The announcement was made on Sunday, December 28, at his residence at Ahenema Kokobeng, Island City, during the NDC Island–City end-of-year celebration, which drew party faithful, supporters, and notable regional figures.

The program, characterized by an atmosphere of festivity, featured lively dancing, sumptuous meals, and heartfelt interactions among attendees. During the event, Mr. Jabari also presented gifts to individuals across the party’s branches who have worked diligently, contributed significantly, or made personal sacrifices for the party, recognizing their unwavering dedication and lifelong commitment.

The gathering was graced by prominent dignitaries, including the Deputy Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NDC, Baah Acheamfour, and the Deputy Youth Organizer and Ashanti Regional National Service Secretariat (NSS) Director, Emmanuel Reagan Fynn, alongside other constituency executives and party stakeholders.

Addressing the audience, Mr. Jabari underscored the vital role the NDC has played in empowering its members and uplifting communities. He stressed that the time has come for unity, emphasizing that cohesive collaboration among party members is essential to maximizing the party’s impact and benefits in the constituency.

“My decision to contest the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency Chairmanship is fueled by a strong desire to restore peace, unity, and direction within the constituency,” Mr. Jabari declared. “The absence of cohesion has impeded the party’s progress, and it is time for leadership that reconciles differences and brings all factions together under a shared vision.”

Reflecting on the 2024 general elections, he noted that internal divisions among constituency executives weakened the party’s effectiveness and hindered its performance. He promised that, following the celebrations, he would personally engage with all Branch Chairmen and Coordinators to better understand the challenges faced and assess the state of the party across the constituency.

Special emphasis was placed on the contributions of women, with Mr. Jabari acknowledging their tireless efforts during election periods, which often demand greater sacrifice than those of their male counterparts. He pledged to recognize and reward their dedication appropriately.

The announcement was warmly welcomed by all constituency executives, who expressed their full support for Mr. Jabari and pledged to vote for him in the upcoming election. Their endorsement reflects growing confidence in his leadership and vision for a more united NDC in Atwima Kwanwoma.

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Jabari urged party members and supporters to remain disciplined, calm, and law-abiding, reminding them that the campaign season has not officially begun and encouraging patience until nominations are formally opened.

Rooted in the principles of unity, peace, and inclusiveness, Solomon Jabari’s declaration has set the stage for renewed hope and strengthened cohesion within the NDC in Atwima Kwanwoma, promising a future where all members feel connected, valued, and engaged in the party’s mission.
