Sheikh Harun Nkansah Agyekum Leads Commissioning of Mosque Funded by Mr. Zachariah Ali

The community of Metem was filled with joy and celebration as a new mosque, funded by prominent businessman Mr. Zachariah Ali, was officially commissioned. The mosque, constructed at the request of local residents, is expected to serve as a central place of worship and community gathering for Muslims in the area.

The commissioning ceremony was led by Sheikh Harun Nkansah Agyekum, National Imam of the Ghana Muslim Mission, who praised Mr. Ali for his selfless generosity and commitment to the spiritual well-being of the community. Addressing congregants, Sheikh Agyekum remarked, “The mosque is a place of unity where ideas are shared among Muslims. It is important that we maintain it with care and use it responsibly to benefit all members of the community.”

Nana Kwadwo Agyapong, Otumfuo Topemanhene and Odikro of Nyinahinso, also expressed his gratitude to Mr. Ali for the contribution. He highlighted that the mosque would reduce the burden of traveling long distances for prayers and serve as a focal point for Islamic education and communal activities. Nana Agyapong prayed for Allah’s abundant blessings upon Mr. Ali for his generosity.

Community members present at the ceremony expressed excitement over the completion of the mosque, emphasizing its importance in fostering spiritual growth, unity, and convenience for Muslims in Metem and neighboring areas.

The inauguration of the mosque marks a significant milestone for the community, reflecting both the generosity of individual donors and the commitment of religious leaders to promote faith, unity, and moral development in the district.
