Reverend Emmanuel Amoako Okyere Inducted as General Overseer of Triumphant Church International in Obuasi

The Triumphant Church International in Obuasi officially welcomed Reverend Emmanuel Amoako Okyere as its new General Overseer during a solemn and inspiring induction service held over the weekend. The event drew church leaders, congregants, and community members, who gathered to witness the passing of spiritual leadership and to celebrate the church’s commitment to faith, unity, and service.
The immediate past Archbishop of the Anglican Church – Ghana, Most Reverend Professor Daniel Yinkah Sarfo, delivered the keynote address, urging both church leaders and members of society to embrace humility in leadership. He emphasized that serving others, as Christ did, is the true essence of spiritual authority. “Whatever position is entrusted to us,” Archbishop Sarfo stated, “we must lead with a heart of humility and dedicate ourselves to serving the people faithfully.” He further reflected on the symbolism of Jesus’ crown of thorns, noting that it represents sacrifice, service, and the responsibilities that come with leadership.

Joining him, the past Methodist Bishop of Ghana, Rt. Reverend N.B. Abubakar, encouraged Reverend Okyere to guide the church with fairness, love, and unity. He also addressed the youth in attendance, urging them to remain steadfast in their faith and to trust in God’s guidance throughout their spiritual and personal journeys.

In his acceptance speech, Reverend Emmanuel Amoako Okyere assured congregants of his commitment to lead the church with integrity, humility, and diligence. “I pledge to uphold the values of this church, to guide its members with fairness, and to exemplify the conduct expected of a servant of God,” he stated. His words resonated deeply with attendees, reinforcing the church’s dedication to spiritual growth and community development under his leadership.

The induction service also featured prayers, worship, and reflections from members of the clergy and church officials, creating an atmosphere of spiritual renewal and unity. The event highlighted the church’s vision of fostering faith, moral leadership, and community engagement in Obuasi and beyond.

As Reverend Okyere assumes his role as General Overseer, congregants and church leaders alike expressed optimism that his leadership will strengthen the church’s mission and deepen its impact on the spiritual and social lives of its members.
