Rev. Paul Gaizie Arhinnful Urges Youth to Choose Life Amid Rising Abortion Cases

In a passionate appeal to Ghanaian youth, Rev. Paul Gaizie Arhinnful, Founder and President of the Committed Christians Association International, has called on young people to uphold the sanctity of human life and resist the rising tide of abortion among the nation’s youth.

Addressing the issue in a recent statement, Rev. Arhinnful described abortion as one of the “silent killers” of the current generation, highlighting its devastating physical, emotional, and spiritual consequences for both unborn children and young women. He emphasized that many abortions are carried out under fear, societal pressure, or confusion, yet the act leaves deep, lasting wounds.

“Life is not a biological accident but a sacred work of God,” Rev. Arhinnful asserted, referencing Scripture to affirm that every child is formed with purpose even before birth. Quoting Psalm 139:13–16, he stated, “For You formed my inward parts; You knitted me together in my mother’s womb… Your eyes saw my unformed substance.” He explained that these verses show unborn children as real human beings, fully known and loved by God.

Rev. Arhinnful further cited biblical examples, including the account of Mary and Elizabeth in Luke 1:41, where the unborn John the Baptist is described as responding to the presence of Jesus in the womb. “Scripture treats the unborn as actual human beings,” he stressed, underscoring that abortion is tantamount to shedding innocent blood, condemned in Proverbs 6:16–17 and prohibited by the commandment, “You shall not murder” (Exodus 20:13).

Addressing the youth directly, Rev. Arhinnful linked the rise in abortions to irresponsible lifestyles and sexual immorality. He urged young people to embrace purity, self-control, and respect for God’s commandments. “Your body is God’s temple,” he reminded, quoting 1 Corinthians 6:19, and encouraged youth to practice abstinence and discipline as a way of preserving life and protecting destinies.

Rev. Arhinnful also highlighted the biblical call in Deuteronomy 30:19, urging young people to “choose life… that both you and your children may live.” He described this choice as one that safeguards unborn children, promotes moral discipline, upholds God’s laws, and secures the future of the next generation.

While emphasizing the importance of truth, Rev. Arhinnful stressed that the church must also be a place of healing for those affected by abortion. “Many live with guilt, fear, and emotional pain,” he noted. “God can forgive any sin, including abortion, if we sincerely repent and turn to Him” (1 John 1:9).

Through his call, Rev. Arhinnful aims to inspire a generation that values life, walks in righteousness, and honors the Word of God, while offering hope and spiritual restoration to those who have suffered from past mistakes.

The Committed Christians Association International, under his leadership, continues to champion life-affirming messages and moral education for youth across Ghana.
