Respect Culture and Honor Parents to Escape Life’s Struggles – Mama Anita Warns

The Founder of the Aura Eagle Spiritual Center at Kumasi-Abuakwa, Mama Anita, has issued a heartfelt message to Ghanaians, urging them to return to their roots by respecting their culture, valuing their traditions, and honoring their parents if they want to live peaceful and successful lives.
Speaking during a spiritual gathering at her center, Mama Anita emphasized that most of the hardships people face in life are often self-inflicted due to a lack of cultural consciousness and disregard for parental blessings. She noted that many individuals, in their quest to appear modern and religiously enlightened, have unconsciously abandoned their cultural values — a behavior she described as dangerous and spiritually costly.
According to her, the concept of the “Holy Ghost” and the Akan term “Saman Kronkron” both refer to the same divine spiritual force, though expressed through different languages and traditions. She explained that “Saman” is a local term deeply rooted in Ghanaian spirituality, while “Holy Ghost” is its foreign equivalent, noting that misunderstanding or rejecting the indigenous term does not change its divine nature. “The word Saman is not evil. It is part of who we are. The Holy Ghost and Saman Kronkron carry the same meaning, only expressed differently. Invoking that name with pure intention brings miracles. We must stop demonizing our culture and instead understand its spiritual depth,” she said.

Mama Anita further stressed that respecting and honoring deceased relatives, a practice many Christians and modern Ghanaians have condemned, is not idol worship but rather a sacred act of remembrance and gratitude. She cautioned that rejecting one’s ancestors or labeling them as evil invites unnecessary struggles and disconnection from one’s divine lineage. “When you throw away your culture, you’re harming yourself. Culture is your foundation and identity. Ignoring cultural norms and spiritual principles can bring misfortunes, struggles, and tragedies in life,” she cautioned.
Touching on family values, the spiritual leader warned against the growing trend of neglecting parents, especially mothers, after achieving success. She described mothers as “living altars of blessings,” whose prayers can open great doors in their children’s lives. “Your mother takes care of you from infancy to adulthood. When it’s your turn to care for her, don’t let anyone deceive you that she’s evil. A mother’s prayer can protect and bless you more than any pastor’s anointing,” she stated.

Mama Anita also highlighted the natural consequences that come with disrespecting or neglecting one’s parents. She said nature itself punishes children who allow their parents to suffer while they live in luxury, emphasizing that no spiritual intervention can reverse such moral wrongdoing. “No pastor can break that punishment for you. Nature watches. If your parents are suffering while you live lavishly, that pain becomes a curse upon you. Do the right thing at the right time because karma is real,” she added.
She concluded her message by encouraging all Ghanaians, especially the youth, to embrace their cultural heritage, respect elders, and honor their parents to attract divine favor and live fulfilled lives. “We must remember that our strength lies in our traditions, our families, and our values. When we respect our culture and our parents, the universe rewards us with peace, prosperity, and protection,” she affirmed.
Mama Anita’s message at the Aura Eagle Spiritual Center resonated strongly with attendees, many of whom expressed gratitude for her boldness in restoring faith in Ghanaian spirituality and family values.
