Residents of Ampabame in the Ashanti Region of Ghana are living in total fear after the Ashanti Tano River gods demanded five human beings for sacrifice before a toilet facility constructed by government could be used.
According to the reports, priestess serving the Ashanti Tano gods who guards the Bomofia stream announced that the Gods are angry because the community cited a toilet facility near it. As their punishment, first five people who will use the government constructed toilet will fall into it and die. That’s the only way that the Gods will be appeased.
Due to this, the toilet facility which costed over several thousands of Ghana cedis has been left to rot. Joynews added that, the District Chief Executive for the area has vowed to open the toilet by hook or crook.
