The Electricity Company of Ghana’s (ECG) Ashanti Sub-Transmission Region has earned high praise from the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) for its improved power supply stability and enhanced customer communication.

During a regulatory visit to Kumasi, the PURC Regional Manager, Mr. Edward Kingston Boduah, led a team to engage ECG officials on regulatory matters and preparations for the upcoming public hearing scheduled for October 14, 2025, at the Prempeh Assembly Hall.

Mr. Boduah applauded ECG’s proactive system upgrades and maintenance efforts, describing them as commendable.
He further noted the utility’s effective stakeholder engagement, particularly through timely updates shared on the Utility Stakeholders Platform, and recognized the Public Relations Unit for advancing public education on ECG operations.

In response, Ing. Peter Fletcher, General Manager of ECG Ashanti Sub-Transmission, thanked PURC for the recognition and assured that the team remains committed to maintaining service improvements.

He also pledged ECG’s full participation in the public hearing, promising strong technical support to ensure its success.
