Prophet Isaac Yaw Mensah Predicts Kennedy Agyapong as NPP’s Divine Choice for 2028 and 2032 Elections
A Ghanaian cleric, Prophet Isaac Yaw Mensah, has stirred fresh political debate after predicting that Assin Central Member of Parliament, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, is divinely chosen to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into the 2028 and 2032 general elections.
Prophet Mensah, a senior pastor of Fire Trinity Ministry International, made the revelation during an interview with Saint Jeff on Boss FM, where he spoke about what he described as spiritual insights into the future leadership direction of the NPP. According to him, the party’s chances of returning to power depend largely on its willingness to rally behind Kennedy Agyapong as its flagbearer.
The prophet recalled that in 2022, he publicly declared that the NPP would be unable to “break the eight” without Kennedy Agyapong and warned that failure to present him as the party’s presidential candidate would result in a heavy defeat by the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He noted that this prophecy was made before Mr. Agyapong officially declared his intention to contest the NPP flagbearership, insisting that subsequent political developments had validated his earlier prediction.

Speaking further, Prophet Mensah urged the leadership and supporters of the NPP to set aside what he described as negative perceptions about Kennedy Agyapong and focus on what he believes is a higher spiritual direction for the party. He claimed that, in the spiritual realm, the forefathers who laid the foundation of the NPP and the “gods of the land” have chosen Kennedy Agyapong to lead the party, arguing that this choice cannot be ignored if the party hopes to regain political power.

According to the cleric, God is unchangeable, and once a divine decision has been made, human opinions and internal party dynamics cannot alter its outcome. He therefore advised the NPP to act decisively ahead of the 2028 elections to avoid repeating past mistakes.
The latest prophecy has added to ongoing discussions within political and religious circles, as prophetic declarations continue to play a visible role in Ghana’s electoral discourse. While such pronouncements often attract strong reactions from the public, they also highlight the enduring influence of religion in the country’s political landscape.
