The King makers of the Annor We Royal Family of Prampram in the Greater Accra Region comprising Abbey/Doku Mansro We, Tetteh Dzan/Larbi Agbo We and Kwei Opletu We have called on the Inspector General of Police to intercede in the protracted Chieftaincy dispute in the area that places the community on a time bomb.
In a statement, the Prampram Seitse Nii Osabu Abbey said a self imposed Chief, Nene Tetteh Wakah is causing unrest in the community and needs to be dealt with.
According to Nii Osabu Abbey, the imposter has hired the services of armed muscled men who have been putting fear and panic in the people.
He said Prampram has no Paramount Chief so all the efforts to usurp the authorities of a yet-to-be installed Nene Prampram.
The Prampram Stool Father has thus called on the lGP to intervene and restore peace in Prampram.
According to Nii Abbey Prampram has only one ruling House from which a chief is nominated, selected and installed and that is Annor We.
There are however three gates in Annor We from which a candidate is submitted for enstoolment as the Paramount Chief.
The said Michael Quarcoopome Parker who has been parading himself as the Paramount Chief of Prampram with the Stool name Nene Tetteh Wakah III is from Tsaweynya clan which is not part of Annor We.
Michael Quarcoopone was rather illegally installed by some faceless people including one Tei Larbi Abbey whose capacity was challenged and same ruled against by the National House of Chiefs as one that does not hold the locus to install a chief. It is therefore inferring that whoever the said Tei Larbi Abbey installs as a chief becomes illegally installed Chief.
It is time for the people of Annor We, the only Royal Family with the preserve to install a Paramount Chief to go ahead and install one and it is therefore surprising that someone will insight the Police against the Royal Family in its quest to properly install a Paramount Chief for Prampram.
“We wish to state emphatically that Michael Quarcoopone, alias Nene Tetteh Waka III is an imposter and thus must be disregarded”he lamented.
He said Member of the Council of State ET Mensah’s attempt to resolve the issue has never materialized due to complexity.
The family has thus called on Minister for Chieftaincy and Culture to step in and hel resolve the Chieftaincy dispute at Prampram.
They want lawmaker Kennedy Agyapong to join much celebrated COP Kofi Boakyie to take interest in the Prampram Chieftaincy case and it to rest.
Nii Abbey further called on the President Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo to also step in to ensure peace.
The Stool Father also wants to know why when Mr Michael Quarcoopone, also known as Nene Tetteh threatened to make the “blood of the people flow” if they go ahead to install a Paramount Chief the police has still not called him to order.
He wonders if he would have been left off the hooks if he, Nii Osabu Abbey had made those pronouncements.
Nii Osabu who said he installed the Queenmother of Prampram and the Head of Family in 2016 said he is saddened by the hypocrisy on the part of his people.
