Phoenix Insurance Screens Over 100 Suame Magazine Artisans in Free Health Outreach

Phoenix Insurance Company has extended vital healthcare support to artisans at Suame Magazine Zone 2, screening more than 100 individuals as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility efforts. The comprehensive health outreach, held in the Ashanti Region, offered free medical examinations and medication to participants.
The health screening covered blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests, and general medical consultations. Individuals whose results indicated potential health complications were promptly referred to appropriate medical facilities for further assessment and treatment.

Speaking after the exercise, the Head of Micro Insurance at Phoenix Health, Mrs. Ivy Kyerewa Dadzie, underscored the importance of regular health checkups, stressing that many serious medical conditions develop gradually without early warning signs. She urged Ghanaians to prioritize preventive healthcare and participate in screening programmes whenever the opportunity arises.

“Regular medical checkups are essential for everyone. Early detection is one of the safest and most effective ways to manage complicated health issues before they become critical,” she noted.

The Head of Operations at Phoenix Insurance Company, Mr. Gabriel Adu Asare, explained that the screening exercise was open to all artisans and community members, not just clients of Phoenix Insurance. He emphasized that the company’s health programs are designed to support the broader community and promote general well-being.

Mr. Asare further introduced participants to the Ahotor Plan, a flexible and affordable insurance package aimed at traders and informal sector workers. The plan allows individuals to make small contributions in exchange for an insurance card that grants them access to healthcare services.

Beneficiaries of the screening expressed deep appreciation to Phoenix Insurance for bringing essential health services directly to their doorstep. They described the outreach as timely and encouraged colleagues and residents to embrace preventive healthcare while supporting Phoenix Insurance products and initiatives.
