Pokuase, located in the Greater Accra Region, is the scene of an accident involving a petroleum truck that flipped.
Residents who went to the site tried, despite the risk it presented to them, to steal petrol from the fuel tanker that had caught fire.
People could be seen rushing towards the tanker with buckets in hand in order to get the petrol.
Approximately 2:30 in the morning is when the event took place, according to the accounts.
The fire department responded to the call and arrived on the spot to help disperse the gathering.
There is currently no evidence available that can confirm or deny the presence of any casualties that were sustained as a result of the event.
This is not the first time some Ghanaians have sought to take advantage of a vehicle carrying goods that have been involved in an accident, and this is one of the few times it involved a vehicle carrying fuel that could have exploded and put lives at risk.
