Petra International School 2006 Class Mourns ‘Ebenezer Kumah’, Donates GH¢800 to Bereaved Family

The 2006 graduating class of Petra International School in Manso-Domi, located in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region, has come together to mourn the tragic passing of their former classmate, Ebenezer Kumah, affectionately known as “Mr. Long Man.”
Ebenezer Kumah met his untimely death after he was involved in a fatal accident while riding his Motor King tricycle loaded with firewood along the Muano–Domi road. According to reports, the accident occurred in the middle of the road stretch when his tricycle lost control, leading to serious injuries. He was quickly rushed to the St. Martin’s Catholic Hospital for medical attention, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
Today, his final funeral rites were observed at the Manso funeral grounds where hundreds of mourners, including classmates, old students, current students, teachers of Petra International School, and residents of the community, gathered to pay their last respects to the fallen young man.
The emotional ceremony was filled with tributes recalling Ebenezer’s humility, dedication to hard work, and the joyful spirit he carried during his school days. His peers from the 2006 year group described him as a brother who left behind lasting memories.
In a show of solidarity and compassion, the 2006 alumni group of Petra International School presented a cash donation of GH¢800 to the bereaved family. The donation, they said, was a token of their collective support and love in these difficult times.
“Ebenezer was not just our classmate; he was our friend and brother. His death has hit us hard, but we are here today to stand with the family and say goodbye the best way we can,” said a spokesperson for the year group.
The family of the late Mr. Kumah expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the old students for their thoughtful gesture and presence at the funeral.
As the community mourns the loss of Ebenezer Kumah alias Mr. Long Man, many say his absence will be deeply felt, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
