As part of its 2025 Easter Convention activities, the Youth Ministry of the Pentecostal Church of Christ has donated items worth Gh¢20,000 to the Frehab GH Foundation at Asenemaso in the Kwabre East Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The generous donation, presented during a special ceremony at the Foundation’s premises, included essential food items such as bags of rice, cooking oil, soft drinks, and bottled water. This act of kindness underscores the Church’s unwavering commitment to community outreach and its mission to uplift the underprivileged.
Speaking at the event, Pastor Joseph Kwofi, the Youth Ministry Pastor, shed light on the motivation behind the donation. “This initiative is our way of showing the love of Christ during this sacred season of Easter. We believe that reaching out to those in need is not only a biblical mandate but a practical way of transforming lives. The Frehab GH Foundation has been doing tremendous work, and we felt led to support their cause,” he stated.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Foundation, Mr. King Hammond, Manager of Frehab GH Foundation, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Church for their timely gesture. “We are truly grateful for this donation. These items will go a long way in supporting the individuals under our care,” he said.
Mr. Hammond also took the opportunity to deliver a strong message to Ghanaian youth. “As a foundation committed to rehabilitating and reintegrating victims of substance abuse, we want to remind the youth that their future is too valuable to waste on drugs. Let’s build a better Ghana together,” he emphasized.
The Easter donation forms part of a broader effort by the Pentecostal Church of Christ to extend Christ’s compassion to vulnerable groups and inspire collective social responsibility, particularly among the youth.
