A road accident involving a peel loader and an Urvan bus with registration number AC 1210-22 occurred earlier today at Ampabame Krofrom in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region.
According to eyewitnesses, the collision caused temporary traffic disruption in the area as motorists and residents gathered at the scene following the incident. Fortunately, no fatalities were recorded.
Personnel from the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) at Asokwa promptly arrived at the scene to assess the situation, regulate traffic flow, and ensure safety for other road users. Their swift intervention helped to restore order and prevent further congestion along the stretch.
Although the exact cause of the accident has not yet been determined, authorities have commenced investigations to establish the circumstances that led to the collision.
Officials have meanwhile urged drivers and other road users to exercise caution and strictly adhere to road safety regulations, especially when operating heavy-duty equipment and commercial vehicles.
