Pastor Christ Penelope of the Sevenfold Holy Spirit Ministries in the South African province of Limpopo has replied to criticism of his practice after photographs of him sitting on the faces of his church members in South Africa went viral on social media.
The pastor claims that the direction is from God and he’s demonstrating “God’s power” to help his church members become wealthy. Some of the members are said to wait for months to encounter the so-called “sacred blow-off” and hopefully turn their fortunes around. Pictures of the Pastor’s act were broadly shared on the internet with photographs showing him sitting on an aficionado’s head, prompting a reaction via web-based media.
However, Pastor Penelope, who previously hit the headlines for using condom oil to anoint his congregation, said the act of breaking wind on others started with Jesus Christ.
He told the magazine Drum: “It began with Master Jesus when he stepped on Peter. It is the demonstration of God’s power. Very much like God made Adam go into a profound rest, it is something comparative.
“God did anything with Adam’s body while he was deeply asleep. He was not inclination anything. The Bible didn’t utter a word about Adam saying ‘God, you are harming me’. “When they awaken from sleep, they will disclose to you that they didn’t feel anything. “It is showing the force of God and those who seek healing will encounter the manifestation of God,” he added.
