Owusu Aduomi hints a comeback as independent candidate for Ejisu Constituency in 2024

Ingineer Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, former Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejisu Constituency in the Ashanti has hinted his intention to contest the seat as an independent candidate in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
According to a reportedly gathered by reveal that, the former legislature is lacing his boots to contest in the upcoming by-election in the constituency.

Kwabena Owusu Aduomi first entered Ghana’s parliament after winning the Ejisu seat in the 2008 general elections, and subsequently won the seat in the 2012 and 2016 elections but failed to win his party’s primaries in 2020.
Mr Owusu Aduomi is one of the leading figures in the ruling NPP who left the party on grounds of being mistreated in the NPP’s 2023 presidential primaries.
The late John Kumah who was the Deputy Minister for Finance until his death on March 7, 2024, following a short illness replacement Mr Aduomi in Parliament until his untimely demised.
Meanwhile, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has cleared nine candidates for an upcoming primary to decide the party’s candidate for the upcoming by-election, which the Electoral Commission set 30th April 2024 as the date for the by-election.
Mr Kwabena Owusu Aduomi who speaks to this reporter elaborating his achievements during his tenure as the Member of Parliament for the area disclosed that,he singlehandedly builds Schools at Aseienipong owne and Kwaso town roads, adding that, he also built Korase school, Borwire market from his own cofers.
He stated that, since he left Parliament the Donyina and Assieninpong town roads projects are been abandoned and after tarring the roads within Achinakrom, Domeabra, Apromasi, Onwe, Kwaso, Deduako town roads during his tenure as the MP for the constituency.
Mr Aduomi believes that, every communities would have a facelift through their fair share of the national cake when he returns and represent them in Parliament to continue the total developmental projects of the constituency in which he was christine as development Chief by the chiefs.
