Over 2,000 Customers Rewarded So Far in MTN MoMo’s “Me Nsa Aka” Campaign

MobileMoney Limited (MoMo), a subsidiary of MTN Ghana, has presented prizes to winners of the first monthly draw in the ongoing “Me Nsa Aka” promotion, a customer reward initiative designed to recognize and celebrate loyal MoMo users across the country.

The draw, which was conducted by the National Lottery Authority (NLA) in Accra, saw Mr. Hillary Kwaku Angua Mante from Accra emerging as the overall winner for the month, receiving a cash prize of GHS 5,000 in e-cash. Two other customers, Mr. Charles Benjamin McCarthy and Mr. Joseph King Martey, both from Accra, also received GHS 3,000 each, bringing smiles to their faces as they joined the growing list of winners in the promotion.

Speaking at the prize presentation ceremony, the Senior Manager for Channel Distribution at MobileMoney LTD, Abdul Majeed Rufai, expressed his excitement about the enthusiastic response the “Me Nsa Aka” campaign has received since its launch. He noted that customers’ increased use of the MoMo App has not only made financial transactions more convenient but has also contributed to the success of the promo.

“The MoMo App offers customers a range of value propositions that enhance their experience in performing various financial transactions. This promotion provides a unique opportunity for customers to qualify and win exciting prizes while using the app for payments, savings, insurance, bank services, and more,” he said.

Mr. Rufai further explained that the “Me Nsa Aka” promotion reflects MobileMoney LTD’s Platform Business Agenda, which seeks to create opportunities for growth and strengthen partnerships within Ghana’s fintech ecosystem. According to him, since the start of the promotion, transactions between customers and MoMo’s ecosystem partners have significantly increased — a positive development that demonstrates the growing trust and engagement among users.

He stated, “We are committed to our Platform Business Agenda, which aims to empower our partners and customers. Our observation since the beginning of the promotion shows a remarkable increase in transactions to our partners, and this reaffirms the strong collaboration within the fintech space. We are very excited about that.”

The first monthly winner, Mr. Hillary Kwaku Angua Mante, after receiving his prize, expressed his gratitude to MobileMoney LTD for honoring its promise. Overjoyed by the gesture, he praised the company for being true to its word and encouraged all Ghanaians to download and use the MoMo App to experience its unique features, convenience, and security in handling everyday financial activities.

Launched in September 2025, the “Me Nsa Aka” promotion has so far rewarded over 2,000 customers across the country with various prizes, including cash rewards, Y’ello Biz routers, and other valuable items. The campaign aims to motivate customers to adopt digital financial services through the MoMo App while appreciating their continued loyalty.

With over GHS 1.5 million worth of prizes still available, the promotion promises to reward many more customers before it concludes on December 15, 2025. The initiative features daily, weekly, and monthly rewards, with cash prizes ranging from GHS 100 to GHS 5,000 and a grand prize of GHS 100,000 reserved for the customer with the highest transaction value at the end of the promotion period.

To participate, customers are required to perform transactions above GHS 100 on the MoMo App, which is readily available on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. The promotion continues to demonstrate MTN’s commitment to rewarding loyalty while driving the adoption of digital payments in Ghana’s evolving financial landscape.

Meanwhile, MobileMoney LTD has cautioned customers to stay alert and avoid fraudulent schemes that may attempt to take advantage of the promotion. The company reiterated that under no circumstance should customers disclose their MoMo PIN or One-Time Password (OTP) to anyone or allow another person to transact on their behalf. Official communication to winners, according to the company, will only be made through MTN/MML’s official line, 0244300000, and customers are advised to disregard any suspicious messages or calls.

Customers who suspect any fraudulent activity are encouraged to report immediately by emailing mmfraudteam@mtn.com or calling 100 for assistance.
