Over 200 Asawase NPP Delegates Endorse Kennedy Agyapong Ahead of 2026 Presidential Primaries

Over 200 delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Asawase Constituency of the Ashanti Region have publicly declared their unwavering support for Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong as the party heads into its crucial presidential primaries scheduled for January 31, 2026.

The delegates, representing various polling stations across the constituency, made their declaration during a well-attended press conference held at Pakoso. They described the Assin Central Member of Parliament as the most credible, competent, and visionary candidate capable of reviving the party’s fortunes and steering Ghana toward meaningful socio-economic transformation.

Addressing the media at the Kumasi Central Mosque on Monday, December 1, 2025, Mr. Kwabena Boateng, the Pakoso Polling Station Organiser, highlighted Kennedy Agyapong’s proven track record in business, entrepreneurship, and job creation. He stressed that Hon. Agyapong’s practical approach to development and his commitment to youth empowerment position him as the ideal candidate to address Ghana’s unemployment challenges.

According to Mr. Boateng, the outspoken legislator’s integrity, discipline, and unwavering dedication to national development have endeared him to the grassroots, who believe he is the right man to lead the NPP into the 2028 general elections.

Several other delegates who spoke to the media shared similar sentiments. They expressed strong confidence in Kennedy Agyapong’s ability to unite the party, energize its support base, and secure a decisive victory in the next national polls. They described him as a bold, honest, and principled leader with a sincere commitment to improving the welfare of ordinary Ghanaians.

The delegates further pledged to campaign tirelessly within the Asawase Constituency and beyond to ensure a resounding victory for Kennedy Agyapong in the January 2026 primaries. They also appealed to NPP members nationwide to rally behind a leader who understands the challenges of the grassroots and possesses the courage, competence, and vision to transform Ghana.

The Asawase delegates concluded by reaffirming their resolve to stand firmly behind Hon. Agyapong, insisting that he represents the hope, strength, and future of the New Patriotic Party.
