Otumfuo Adontenhemaa, Nana Ama Kyifa II, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, describing her as the “mother of all mothers” whose life embodied wisdom, compassion, and unity.

The revered who reigned for eight years as Asantehemaa passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the age of 98, with her death officially announced by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Monday.
Nana Ama Kyifa II, who is also the queenmother of Aduaben, said the late queen mother’s guidance since her enstoolment in 2023 played a vital role in helping her bring peace and unity to her community.
She noted that Nana Konadu Yiadom III was not only a pillar within the Ashanti Kingdom but a symbol of maternal leadership for the entire nation.
“She projected the critical role of queen mothers to the world,” Nana Kyifa II said.
“Her reign reminded all of us of the deep influence and strength of our traditional leadership, especially the women who guide from the background with wisdom and grace.”
Nana Ama Kyifa II added that even at her advanced age, the Asantehemaa offered wise counsel, urging her to embrace every person, regardless of tribe or background, as her own.
“Her advice to treat all as my sons and daughters has shaped my leadership, and her legacy will forever live in our hearts,” she said.
