The Headmaster of Wenchi M/A Basic School, Mr. Seidu Richard Dramani is appealing to the government through the Offinso South Municipal Education Directorate to come to their aid as there is inadequate desks for students and teachers in the school.
According to him, the building of the school is well structured but due to the insufficient of desks, teaching and learning have been difficult as majority of the students sits on bear floor, whiles others on stones, woods and mats for learning.
Speaking in an interview with Angel FM Bawah Baidoo, Headmaster reiterated that, there is no electricity in the Offinso Namong Wenchi which has deprived the teachers to lived in the community of which they will need teachers bungalow to keep the teachers in the Wenchi Community to monitor the progress of the students after school.
He however commended the commitment of the teachers.
Notwithstanding to that he appeals to the stakeholders benevolent to help them with desks because our future leaders are suffering.
Again he also stated that the covid protocols has become difficult for them to adhere especially physical distance, Since the reopening of school, they have received Veronica bucket, tissue papers and sanitizers but they have not been given nose mask’s.
The students on their part called on the government to come to their aid them to provide them desks , textbooks and computers for effective teaching and learning.
