Offinso South MCE Embarks on Market Tours and Institutional Visits to Foster Cooperation

The Municipal Chief Executive for Offinso South in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Owusu Amoah Frank has initiated a series of market and institutional visits following his confirmation.
The primary goal of these visits is to familiarize himself with the institutional heads and traders, understand their challenges, and explore ways to incorporate market needs into the assembly’s policy framework.
During his market tour, Hon. Frank visited the iconic Abofour Market, engaging with traders and acknowledging their concerns.
He also inspected the deplorable state of the Abofour-Odem road, which has been a significant concern for church leaders due to its importance as a key route.
The MCE assured them that the assembly would work tirelessly to make the road motorable.
On May 20, Hon. Frank engaged with traders at the Offinso Newtown Market, gathering their pressing concerns and working towards finding lasting solutions.
Key challenges identified included inadequate market sheds, stalled projects, poor security, and sanitation issues.
The MCE assured traders of the Assembly’s commitment to collaboration and implementing bold decisions to revamp the market area.
In a related development, Hon. Frank paid a courtesy visit to the Offinso Traditional Council, led by Nana Dwamena Akenten II, to discuss enhancing collaboration and promoting unity, cultural preservation, revenue mobilization, and sustainable development.
The two parties expressed confidence in their potential for fruitful collaboration to drive the municipality’s growth.
The MCE also engaged with various government institutions, including the National Service Scheme, Information Service Department, Ghana Police Service, Ambulance Service, and a local cement factory.
Hon. Frank emphasized the importance of direct engagement with stakeholders to understand their challenges and tailor government responses to meet their needs.
He expressed his commitment to working collaboratively with stakeholders to drive meaningful progress and positive change.
