The district chief executive for sekyere Afram Plains district of Ashanti region who double as parliamentary candidate for NPP, Hon Joseph Owusu,a.k.a ODENKYEM, has made passionate appeal to the good citizens of the constituency to honour NPP Government with their votes come December 7, as promised to vote for anyone who will construct the poor nature of road networks that links from the district capital Drobonso to Dawia and other adjoining communities since efforts are underway to see the facelift of the road.
Recall that, on 3rd June 2020, chiefs and people of Abenoa,Issakura,Kamakama, Nyameama,Sampson,Dawia and other adjoining communities organised a press conference to register their grievances about the state of poor road networks in the community which is making lives very unbearable for them.
They however channeled their grievances through the district chief executive Hon Joseph Owusu, to come to their aid and tar the road for them to help promote economic development in the community.
According to them,lack of smooth movement vehicles on the road, their farm productivities are not getting access to market and pregnant women find it difficult to access quality health care at the district capital, Drobonso and Kumawu.
In less than two months of the said press conference, the District Chief Executive Hon Joseph Owusu through his lobby skills in the Government has able to win contract from the ministry of roads and highways to construct a 39km tarred road for the people as the construction has started.
Hon Joseph Owusu, ODENKYEM in his interactions with the media during the inspection tour to the project site, he said the project when completed will help to improve the lives of his people through agriculture productivities,quality health care and education.
According to him, the project is scheduled to be completed within 18 months and has been awarded to YKB Company Limited with funding from Ghana Cocoa Board under cocoa roads projects.
He however, assured the people of Anyinofi, Seneso,Fumsua and other communities that plans underway to come to their communities with same NPP Government projects on year of roads to help boost economic activities in the district.
Hon Joseph Owusu used the opportunity to remind the residents to honour their promise made to him and vote for NPP and him as Memberof Parliament come December 7, general election.
“I am fulfilling my duty as you asked,waiting for my votes on December 7”he added.
