A flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr Boakye Agyarko has called for fairness in the election process to elect the presidential candidate for the party for the 2024 general elections.
The former Energy Minister said that the elections will be peaceful for as long as there is fairness in the conduct of the polls.
He also said the rules of engagement must be clear to all the parties involved in the elections.
He said these when he filed his nomination forms at the headquarters of the NPP on Monday, June 19 to enable him to contest in the upcoming presidential primaries of the governing party.
He said “This is an internal family thing, so long as the rules are clear, so long as there is total fairness, so long as we are all measured in our statements, I believe that we will have a peaceful elections.”
