Some polling station executives of the Bantama constituency of the Ashanti Region are accusing their constituency chairman Hon Fiifi Mensah and organiser Shaibu Bamba for including persons alleged to be members of the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in their constituency album ahead of NPP Internal elections.
Speaking at a press conference, the Assembly Member of Ohwim Amanfrom Electoral Area, Hon Erastus Ebo Boison who is aspiring for the position of the constituency organiser lamented that the album after its completion may include 20 percent of non party members which will damage the future of the party.
He said, Chairman Fiifi and other incumbents who fear of loosing their positions
have violated the code of conduct regarding the elections, hence, orchestrating such diabolical move for their own parochial interests which is affront to the party’s rules on internal elections.
He furthered that some of the current polling station executives have been suspended by the chairman who were against his move.
On behalf of some the aggrieved party members, Hon Ebo Boison called on both national and regional executives and the Hon Assenso Boakye to do the needful to save the party from collapsing in the area.
