NPP IN ASUNAFO SOUTH REJECTS DCE HON. OSEI BONSU SNR

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Members in the Asunafo South Constituency of the Ahafo region has appealed to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo not to re-nominate Osei Bonsu Senior as District Chief Executive (DCE).

NPP Members in the District stated many reasons why the President should reject the District Chief Executive Osei Bonsu Snr’s bid to become a DCE of the area again.

NPP Members from Asunafo South Constituency has resolved NOT to support, and therefore reject any attempt to nominate, elect and appoint Osei Bonsu Snr as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Asunafo District Assembly anymore.

The concerned members in an over 4minute audio called on the Ahafo Regional New Patriotic Party leadership led by the Chairman, Mr. Kwabena Owusu Sekyere and Ahafo Regional minister, Hon. George Boakye, to make sure their “failure” DCE Osei Bonsu Senior would not be re – nominated to the district.

According to them, his bad management in office as DCE for the four years has been a disgrace to the NPP party and detriment of the Constituency and District. His divisive and insatiable desire for self-wealth making as well as his unreliable nature has severely been a great disadvantage to the District, Constituency and the Party in its development and other positive prospects.

They accused him of his deep involvement in campaigning against the parliamentary candidate Ing. Kobby Mensah Amoah during the 2020 elections.

“Our District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Osei Bonsu Snr. undermined and campaigned against our parliamentary candidate Ing. Kobby Mensah Amoah. He said the parliamentary candidate is a Rastafarian and a mad person so he doesn’t deserve to be a parliamentarian. Our District Chief Executive (DCE) has said right after 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections that NPP party is not attractive anymore” the supporters say such personality has no business to represent the party in the district.

Osei Bonsu Senior was accused of abysmal administrative performance in Asunafo South and thus that has hindered development in the district.

“a source from his camp has revealed that because he wants to be considered in the upcoming DCE race, he has quickly installed transformer at close site where the regional chairman is working but we believe such tricks won’t win our regional chairman Mr. Kwabena Owusu Sekyere to consider him because the entire party faithfuls and people of Asunafo South has rejected him long ago because he is inexperience on the DCE job.” One of the supporters indicated in the audio.

They disclosed that they are not ready to work with Osei Bonsu Senior again as District Chief Executive (DCE) for Asunafo South because there are competent and grassroots members who are far better than Hon. Osei Bonsu Snr who can be appointed to the DCE position and with such people, Asunafo South will witness phenomenal developments and the good work of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“Osei Bonsu Snr has said President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has authorized him to supervise galamsey at Asu fufuo to destroy our water bodies, our land and our food crops a situation which contradict the NPP policy” NPP party members indicated.

The supporters in the audio urged the party leadership to consider their plea as priority else they will consider leaving the party because Osei Bonsu Senior re-nomination as DCE for Asunafo South District would be a disgrace to the party and it will be a sign of incompetence and they are not ready to associate themselves with such shame.

Rejection of Osei Bonsu Snr. re-nomination as District Chief Executive (DCE) means NPP to win Asunafo South parliamentary seat and Asunafo South’s progress for the masses are optimistic.
