NPP Communication Officer Questions Party’s Use of Energy in Campaigns

The Communication Officer of the Odotobri New Patriotic Party (NPP), Solomon Amankwah, has posed a thought-provoking question to his party, asking where the energy displayed during internal presidential primaries truly comes from.

According to him, the intensity and strategies demonstrated in internal contests often overshadow the zeal channeled into national elections, where the stakes are even higher. He wondered why the party’s skilled communicators, diligent researchers, and effective campaign strategies are reserved mainly for primaries, instead of being deployed fully in general elections against the opposition.

Mr. Amankwah expressed concern that, while opponents appear to enjoy more freedom in their political maneuvering, the NPP’s own internal machinery sometimes seems to work against itself. He cautioned party faithful that in today’s political landscape, social media plays a critical role in shaping public opinion, and every action taken within the party could have lasting consequences.
“Social media doesn’t forget,” he stressed, urging the party to conduct politics with principles, discretion, and moral integrity. He reminded members that the elephant, the enduring symbol of the NPP, remains a powerful emblem of victory — but only if the party channels its strength in the right direction.
“A word to the wise is sufficient,” he concluded.
