NPP Chairman COKA Pays Christmas Visit to Ailing Veteran Actor Kwaku Twumasi, Donates Cash and Gifts
The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, widely known as COKA, has paid a Christmas visit to ailing veteran Ghanaian actor Kwaku Twumasi, during which he presented him with assorted gifts and an undisclosed amount of money to support his upkeep.

The visit took place on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, as part of COKA’s Christmas engagements with loved ones and long-standing associates. Speaking during the visit, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah described Kwaku Twumasi as an old friend who stood by him during his youthful days, stressing that the gesture was motivated by gratitude and appreciation.
According to COKA, the veteran actor’s support and contributions in the past had left a lasting impression on him, making it important to reciprocate the kindness, especially at a time when Mr Twumasi is facing health challenges. He noted that the Christmas season provides an opportunity to reflect, share love and extend support to those in need.

Kwaku Twumasi, a revered figure in Ghana’s movie industry, has been battling health complications since suffering a mild stroke over four years ago. The condition left him bedridden for an extended period and with difficulty walking, significantly affecting his professional life and daily activities.

During the visit, COKA offered prayers for the actor’s recovery and encouraged him to remain hopeful, assuring him of continued visits and support. He pledged to check on him regularly and to assist whenever the need arises.

An emotional Kwaku Twumasi expressed heartfelt appreciation to the NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman for the visit and the support, describing the gesture as timely and uplifting. He thanked COKA for remembering his past good works and for extending a helping hand during a difficult period.
