The Chief of Nnuaso in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region, Nana Obiri Yeboah, has called on Ghanaians to prioritize their health by engaging in regular physical exercise and routine medical screening as a proactive approach to promoting healthy living and preventing lifestyle-related diseases.

He emphasized that regular exercise, combined with periodic health checks, plays a vital role in the early detection of hidden illnesses, enabling timely medical intervention before conditions worsen. According to him, many individuals unknowingly live with underlying health conditions that can be effectively identified and managed through consistent medical screening.

Nana Obiri Yeboah noted that unhealthy habits such as late-night eating and sedentary lifestyles are becoming increasingly prevalent, posing significant risks to public health. He cautioned that such practices can lead to a range of medical complications, including lifestyle-related diseases, and therefore urged the public to adopt healthier habits that promote proper blood circulation and overall well-being.

The Chief made these remarks during a health walk and community clean-up exercise held as part of the Nnuaso Homecoming activities. The event brought together residents, indigenes, and stakeholders in a shared effort to promote environmental cleanliness and raise awareness about the importance of good health practices within the community.

He further stressed that regular physical activity remains one of the most effective ways to maintain good health, while health screening serves as a critical tool for the early detection and management of potential health conditions. He encouraged individuals to make both practices an integral part of their daily lives.

Nana Obiri Yeboah also took the opportunity to appeal to natives of Nnuaso, both in Ghana and in the diaspora, to return and support the Homecoming programme. He highlighted several ongoing development projects in the community, including the construction of a community center, a water closet toilet facility, and improvements in educational infrastructure.

He explained that these projects are aimed at improving living conditions and promoting sustainable development in Nnuaso. The Chief called for unity and active participation from all indigenes, noting that collective effort remains key to achieving meaningful progress in the community.

Expressing appreciation to participants of the health walk and clean-up exercise, Nana Obiri Yeboah described the initiative as a commendable step toward building a healthier and more vibrant society.

The Nnuaso Homecoming activities are expected to climax on Sunday, April 5, with a continued emphasis on unity, development, and a strong commitment to health and environmental cleanliness.
