The Queen Mother of Nkawie Kumaa, Oheneyere Adoma Akosua II, has marked her one-year anniversary on the stool with a heartwarming act of generosity, donating over 100 pieces of clothing to vulnerable individuals in the community.
The symbolic gesture, which formed part of activities to commemorate her first anniversary, was held at the Nkawie Kumaa palace and attracted scores of residents, community leaders, and well-wishers.
In her address during the event, Oheneyere Adoma Akosua II expressed her deep commitment to promoting unity and social welfare in the community. She urged her subjects to embrace unity and togetherness, emphasizing that collective effort is the key to the town’s development and prosperity.
“Unity is strength. If we remain united, we can achieve greater things for Nkawie Kumaa,” she stated passionately. “As your queen mother, it is my responsibility not only to uphold our traditions but also to support those in need.”
The donation, which included clothing for men, women, and children, brought smiles to the faces of many recipients who expressed heartfelt gratitude for the Queen Mother’s benevolence. For some, it was a timely intervention during a difficult period.
