Nkawie Circuit Court Presided over by His Lordship Justice Michael Abbey has remanded three(3) illegal chainsaw operators who encroached Tano Offin Forest reserve near Nyinahin to be reappear in two weeks for final judgement.
The victims includes,
1. Isaiah Anyane- 38 years
2. Noch Amo…..35 years
3. Nartey Stephen …..35 years
Narrating the story after the court sitting, Mr Chrisantus Nifasooyir, the Nkawie District Forest Services Divisional Manager expressed shock about the illegal activities of chainsaw operators in the forest who operations in the night.
He used the opportunity to adviced other illegal chainsaw operators and the general public to stay away from illegal activities in the forest as the law would dealt with them.
He however appealed to opinion leaders and Nananom to avoid petition on behalf of perpetrators when arrest them.
