New General Overseer Pledges Integrity and Humility to Lead Triumphant Church International

The newly inducted General Overseer of the Triumphant Church International, Reverend Emmanuel Amoako Okyere, has pledged to lead the church with integrity, humility, and a deep commitment to the service of God and humanity.
The solemn induction service, held at the church’s auditorium in Obuasi over the weekend, brought together distinguished clergy, traditional leaders, family members, and a congregation of faithful worshippers who gathered to witness this momentous spiritual transition.

Delivering the sermon at the ceremony, the immediate past Archbishop of the Anglican Church–Ghana, Most Reverend Professor Daniel Yinkah Sarfo, urged both church and community leaders to serve with humility, emphasizing that leadership is not about power or status but a call to selfless service.
According to Archbishop Sarfo, the greatest model of leadership remains Jesus Christ, whose kingship was defined by humility and sacrifice. “Jesus wore a crown of thorns, not gold. His reign was one of service and love. Therefore, if we are called to lead, we must do so with a servant’s heart,” he said. He added that every position of authority is a sacred trust from God, meant to uplift and not to dominate.

Also addressing the congregation, the former Methodist Bishop of Ghana, Rt. Reverend N. B. Abubakar, commended Reverend Okyere for his dedication to the ministry and urged him to continue leading the church with fairness, unity, and love. He advised the newly inducted overseer to always prioritize the spiritual growth and welfare of his congregation, adding that genuine leadership is reflected in compassion and accountability.
Rt. Reverend Abubakar also took the opportunity to counsel the youth of the church, encouraging them to remain steadfast in their faith, resist worldly temptations, and stay committed to the teachings of Christ. “The future of the church depends on the strength and discipline of its young people,” he noted.

In his acceptance address, Reverend Emmanuel Amoako Okyere expressed profound gratitude to God, the clergy, and the congregation for their trust and support. He assured members that his leadership would be guided by honesty, humility, and spiritual discipline.
“I accept this calling with a humble heart. I pledge to lead by example, to promote peace, and to uphold the principles and doctrines that define the Triumphant Church International. Together, we shall build a stronger church rooted in faith, service, and unity,” he declared.
The ceremony was filled with praise, worship, and intercessory prayers, symbolizing the church’s renewed commitment to its spiritual mission. The highlight of the event was the official presentation of the pastoral staff and the declaration of office, marking Reverend Okyere’s full assumption of duty as General Overseer.

Members of the congregation expressed joy and optimism for the future of the church under Reverend Okyere’s leadership, describing him as a disciplined, prayerful, and visionary man of God who has served the church diligently over the years.
The induction service also reflected the growing strength of the Triumphant Church International in promoting faith-based community engagement and moral renewal across the Ashanti Region and beyond.

As Reverend Okyere begins his new leadership journey, the church looks forward to a period of spiritual growth, unity, and impactful ministry dedicated to spreading the gospel and transforming lives.
