Neglecting Parents Invites Karma – Mama Anita Cautions Ghanaians

The Founder and Spiritual Leader of the Aura Eagle Spiritual Center at Kumasi-Abuakwa, Mama Anita, has sent a powerful message to Ghanaians, warning that neglecting one’s parents—especially mothers—brings spiritual consequences and life-long struggles that no pastor or prophet can reverse.

Delivering her sermon during a spiritual teaching session at her center, the renowned spiritual leader urged the public to take parental care and respect as a divine responsibility, emphasizing that parental blessings are directly tied to one’s destiny and success in life.

According to Mama Anita, many people unknowingly block their blessings by abandoning their aged parents, refusing to support them, or speaking against them under the influence of others. She stated that such actions attract what she termed as natural punishment or karma, a spiritual law that ensures everyone reaps what they sow. “No pastor can deliver a child who has neglected their parents. When your parents are suffering while you live comfortably, you have invited nature’s punishment upon yourself. The world runs on spiritual laws, and one of them is this—whatever you do to your parents, life will return it to you,” she declared.

Mama Anita described a mother’s blessing as a priceless gift that cannot be replaced by any religious ritual or prophetic intervention. She emphasized that the love and care mothers show their children from infancy to adulthood are sacred, and therefore, children owe it to their parents to honor and support them in return. “Your mother carried you, fed you, prayed for you, and sacrificed everything for your survival. When it’s your turn to care for her, don’t let anyone deceive you that she’s evil. Her prayers can open doors that no pastor can open, and her tears can close every door of success in your life,” she cautioned.

She lamented how some people have been manipulated by false prophets to believe their parents are the cause of their misfortunes, leading them to neglect or even mistreat them. Mama Anita described this as one of the greatest spiritual errors of the modern generation. “There’s no greater curse than turning your back on the woman or man who gave you life. Anyone who tells you your parents are evil is deceiving you. The real enemy is ignorance and lack of gratitude,” she noted passionately.

Beyond the family setting, Mama Anita linked the neglect of parents to a wider cultural crisis, saying that modern Ghanaians are losing touch with the values of respect, compassion, and care that defined traditional African society. She said the rejection of these values has led to the rise of selfishness, broken homes, and spiritual emptiness. “Our culture teaches us to respect the elderly and honor our fathers and mothers. But today, many people think being modern means ignoring traditions. If you throw away your culture, you throw away your blessings. There’s no progress without respect for your roots,” she said.

She also reminded the youth that the same treatment they give to their parents will one day be returned to them by their own children. According to her, this is the essence of karma — a divine law of balance that governs the universe. “Karma is real. The way you treat your parents is the same way your children will treat you. If you make your parents cry today, your own children will make you cry tomorrow. So be wise and do the right thing while you still can,” she advised.

Mama Anita urged all Ghanaians, regardless of their religion or status, to rekindle the spirit of family unity and compassion, noting that blessings flow naturally in homes where love and respect prevail. “When you honor your parents, everything you touch prospers. When you dishonor them, everything you touch breaks down. Respect your parents, value your culture, and God will bless your path,” she concluded

Her sermon at the Aura Eagle Spiritual Center drew an emotional response from attendees, many of whom were moved to tears as they reflected on their relationships with their parents. Several participants expressed gratitude to Mama Anita for reminding society of this sacred truth.
