NDC’s Overwhelming Victory in 2024 Elections is God’s Making – Deputy Ashanti Regional Women’s Organizer Confesses

The overwhelming victory of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 elections has been hailed as a divine intervention by Mrs. Josephine Yaa Boahema Agyemang, the Deputy Ashanti Regional Women’s Organizer of the party. In a heartfelt declaration, Mrs. Agyemang attributed the NDC’s resounding success in the elections to the Almighty God, affirming that no human being could take credit for the victory.

Speaking with great joy, Mrs. Agyemang stated, “We prayed to God for victory in this year’s elections, and He has done more than we expected.” Her remarks came during a special thanksgiving service held at the Church of Pentecost in Toase, and at Nkawie-Toase Calvary Society of the Methodist Church on Sunday, December 15, 2024. The gathering was organized to express gratitude to God for the NDC’s triumph and to seek continued divine favor for the party’s leadership.

Mrs. Agyemang praised God for the success of H.E. John Dramani Mahama, the newly elected President, and the Members of Parliament-elect, acknowledging that their victory was a result of divine grace. Reflecting on her own personal journey, she revealed that when she won her regional contest over a year ago, she made a covenant with God, and she was grateful to God for remaining faithful to His promises.

With evident emotion, Mrs. Agyemang also thanked God for protecting the NDC party faithfuls during the election campaign period, expressing her gratitude for the travel mercies granted to them as they crisscrossed the country to promote the party’s agenda.

In her address to the congregation, Mrs. Agyemang invited all Ghanaians to join the NDC in celebrating the victory, which she described as a triumph not just for the party but for the entire nation. “Ghana is the biggest winner in this election,” she stated, urging the nation to rally behind the newly elected leadership.

She also made a heartfelt request for prayers for the President-elect and herself, emphasizing the importance of divine support in ensuring that the incoming government would deliver on its promises for a better future. “With your prayers, things are going to get better in the future,” she assured the congregation.

The service included remarks from religious leaders, who also prayed for the well-being of the nation and its leaders. Rev. Amos Adams Elliasu Signa, Toase District Pastor of the Church of Pentecost, and Rev. Kofi Mensah Acquah, Pastor of Nkawie-Toase Calvary Methodist Church, led separate prayers for the President-elect and the Members of Parliament-elect. They thanked God for the peaceful conduct of the elections and for the lives of Ghanaians.

Both clergymen used their platforms to encourage the nation to support the incoming government. “It is important for all Ghanaians to rally behind the new leadership so that the country will experience peace, progress, and prosperity,” Rev. Elliasu Signa said. He further urged the incoming government to work diligently to justify the trust and confidence that Ghanaians had placed in them.

The religious leaders’ prayers were echoed by the congregation, who also pledged their support for the newly elected government. The event concluded with calls for national unity, peace, and prayers for the continued progress of the nation under the leadership of President-elect John Dramani Mahama.

The thanksgiving service not only celebrated the NDC’s victory but also called for national cohesion, with a focus on working together for the future well-being of Ghana. The religious leaders and party officials expressed their hope that the country would move forward peacefully and progressively under the incoming government.
