Nana Akwasi Denkye Agyekum, the Parliamentary candidate for Subin constituency a suburb of Kumasi in the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has embark on a Free Health Screening Excerise for the constituents, urged them to vote base on policies that could better their lots.
According to him, elections are about development to improve the living standards of the voters, hence the need for every voter to cast their votes base on a party or candidate that could help improve their lives irrespective of one’s political dispensation.
Speaking to the media, the NDC Parliamentary Candidate explained that, the motivation behind the exercise is to showcase the NDC passion for the welfare of the people especially in terms of healthcare delivery anytime the party is in government and to appeal to the electorates to vote massively for NDC to win the upcoming general elections.
He indicated that, the number of people targeted was about five hundred to be screen on health issues like Blood Pressure, HIV, Diabetes, malaria and tuberculosis but the number exceeded Eight Hundred and above.
Nana Agyekum expressed the view that, the hardship in the system defeated the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) claiming that they have managed the economy well begging Ghanaians to renew their mandate.
According to him, the Excerise confirmed that the people are suffering and can not even seek for basic check up for their healthcare, because most of them can not boast of decent jobs to take care of themselves and their families, and should the electorates vote and bring back NDC into government, such economic hardship would be a thing of the past.
He disclosed that, Subin constituency is known to be traders, talented footballers and Artisans, the reason he said he is having over twenty (20) young footballers in the system monitoring by scouts and when excel would be promoted to play Professional football, while given about five hundred (500) traders interest Free Loans to expand their businesses and trading activities within the constituency.
He stressed that,he has being in the Constituency because he was born and raised in Subin and understand their problem unlike his opponent from the NPP side who he alleged was only sent from Accra to come and take the seat.
He noted that, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate has no message and his only message is breaking the 8 and it’s possible, am a Lawyer mantra and has nothing to offer to the constituents like his predecessors NPP MPs over the years.
He pleaded with the Subin electorates to change their hands in the upcoming December 7th general elections and for vote him and the NDC to transform their fortunes devoid of the economic hardship they have being because of the bad policies of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) with no credible policies, only to be chanting breaking the 8 and it’s possible mantra.
