NDC Members Thank President Mahama and Assembly for Endorsing Sarah Amoakoa as MCE

Some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Asante Akyem North constituency have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to President John Mahama and the assembly members for endorsing Madam Sarah Amoakoa as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the municipality.
Despite facing rejection twice in her initial nominations, President Mahama’s second announcement nominating her as MCE pending assembly approval seemed to seal the deal. In her third appearance before the assembly, Madam Amoakoa secured an overwhelming 26 out of 28 votes cast, representing 92.86% of the total votes.
Mr. Ampomah Jacob, NDC Communicator for the Agogo Gyidim electoral area, speaking on behalf of the party supporters, thanked the assembly members, the Member of Parliament, and President Mahama for the honor bestowed upon Hon. Sarah Amoakoa expressed her hope to provide dedicated leadership to the municipality.
This development marks a new chapter in the municipality’s leadership, and it remains to be seen how Madam Amoakoa’s leadership will impact the area.
