Mr Augustus Andrews Nana Kwasi, Ashanti Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) entered Mr Asenso Boakye’s the Minister for Road and Highway also a Member of Parliament for Bantama Backyard selling the message of Women’s Development Bank and 24 hour economy campaign promise by Mr John Dramani Mahama.
According to him, the former President and Flagbearer of the opposition NDC is poised to improve the economic activities of women especially Market women with low capital in the country to help expand their market activities and businesses.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman speaking aside a clean up exercise Organized by Bantama Parliamentary Candidate for the NDC Mr Kwadwo Addai Dapaah with the Stars, urged the Market women at Bantama not to make a mistake but vote massively in the upcoming December 7th general elections to the flagbearer of the NDC.
He noted that, voting for Mr Mahama presidency is vote for the Women’s Development Bank and the 24 hour economy to up lift the businesses of the Ghanaians businesses Community especially Market Women.
He explained that, the Bank promise by the NDC presidential candidate would solely meant for the women in the market to give them loans with a very minimum interest without request for a collateral from them to enable them expand their businesses to support their husbands and families.
According to him, the residents Bantama and Ashanti region is known for their inclined in trading and other business activities, and for that matter, to be able to expand their activities, they should bear in mind that, the Mahama led NDC is coming to save and improve their lots, therefore a vote for Mahama and the NDC is a vote for the market women and businessmen welfare.
Mr Kwadwo Addai Dapaah, the Parliamentary Candidate for Bantama in the ticket of NDC also pleaded with the constituents to try the NDC with the seat for only one term to see the kind of development the constituency is going to chalk.
According to him,they are being voting for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for so long, yet there is an increase of youth unemployment in the Constituency.
He stated that, when given him the nod to represent them in Parliament would be no discrimination when it’s comes to job recruitment and opportunities.
He alleged that their seating Member of Parliament on recruit the youth into employment only base on political affiliation mainly constituency Executives relatives, which is promise the electorates that, he would not go to that tangent but would ensure that recruitment would be done base on qualifications.
He also promise to initiate youth into Entrepreneurship programme and create a fund in support of the initiative to ensure majority of the youth are skillfully train and ready for the job market, while there would be a scholarship fund to support brilliant but needy in the Constituency for their education to achieve a higher heights in their aspirations to become a responsible citizens.
