National Imam Commissions New Mosque in Metem, Bringing Joy to Community
The community of Metem was filled with joy and celebration as a new mosque was officially commissioned, marking a significant milestone in the spiritual and social life of local residents. The mosque, constructed at the request of the community, was generously funded by businessman Mr. Zachariah Ali.

The commissioning ceremony was led by Sheikh Harun Nkansah Agyekum, National Imam of the Ghana Muslim Mission, who praised Mr. Ali for his selfless contribution and dedication to supporting the religious needs of the community. Addressing congregants, Sheikh Agyekum said, “This mosque is not just a place of worship; it is a place of unity, learning, and sharing ideas among Muslims. I urge all members to keep it clean, use it responsibly, and uphold its sacred purpose.”
Nana Kwadwo Agyapong, Otumfuo Topemanhene and Odikro of Nyinahinso, expressed deep gratitude to Mr. Ali for his generosity, emphasizing that the mosque would ease the burden of traveling long distances for prayers. He prayed for Allah to reward Mr. Ali abundantly for his kindness and foresight in supporting the spiritual development of the community.

Community members attending the ceremony shared their excitement over the new facility, highlighting that it would serve not only as a center for daily prayers but also as a hub for Islamic education, communal gatherings, and moral guidance for young and old alike.

The commissioning of the mosque reflects the combined efforts of a philanthropic individual and the guidance of religious leadership to promote unity, faith, and moral development.
