Sanitation they say is cleanliness to Godliness and for us to live long on this world one can never disassociate him or herself from cleanliness which is very essential and this has inspired the Assemblyman of Breman Katinka Fordjour electoral area in Suame Municipal Assembly Nana Obour Sika today organized his maiden clean up exercise to fight filth from the area.The successful exercise which begun from 6am to 10am brought together residents and other key personalities within the Breman kantinka Fordjour electoral area as well as opinion leaders.

Addressing the media after the maiden successful exercise, the Assemblyman of Breman Katinka Fordjour electoral area Hon Nana obour sika stated that cleaning and clearing the cabbages is a share responsibility of both the electorates and their leader and as a leader there is the need to set the pace and this is what we are all witnessing today. He added that recently mosquitoes are gradually taking over the Breman township which is very pathetic and disturbing so there is the need for all of them to come all out to clear all the gutters to make way for stagnant liquid product that are producing these insect and the best way to go by it is to hold this exercise. Stressing that to stay healthy one must know that ‘PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE’.

As an Assemblyman who is very much concern about the health issues in my electoral area I think the best way to achieve this target is to assembly the people together and clean the gutters to pave way for stagnant water to flow and this with save my people from any disease outbreak, “he added”.
He opined that with the support from the good people of Breman Katinka Fordjour electoral area and other key personalities including the traditional leaders we will make sure that Breman will be the best area in terms of sanitation from the metropolis. He also used the mediums to advised the electorates about the need to keep the environment clean in order to avoid any calamity.
When the newsmen also spoke to some of the electorates at the Breman Katinka Fordjour electoral area, one Kwabena Nimo who has stayed the area for quite a couple of years commended Hon.Obour Sika the Assemblyman of Breman Katinka Fordjour electoral area for his contribution in raising the image of the area.According to him this is the first time that an Assemblyman from this community has taken such decision to hold an exercise with the support from the fire service and I think he need to be commended.
