A celebrated journalist with Kessben Media, Nana Kwadwo Addai Brobbey, has been enstooled as the Ɛkoɔnahene of the Ɛkoɔna clan within the Asante Mampong Traditional Area.
The colourful ceremony, held on Monday, August 18, 2025, brought together chiefs, elders, family members, and residents of Mampong to witness the historic moment. As part of the installation rites, Nana Addai Brobbey swore the sacred oath of allegiance, pledging to serve his people with respect, loyalty, and dedication.
In his maiden address after the swearing-in, the newly enstooled Ɛkoɔnahene expressed heartfelt gratitude to Nana Wiredu and the elders of the Ɛkoɔna clan for the confidence reposed in him. He described the honour as a call to duty and assured the people of his unwavering commitment to unity, peace, and progress.
Reflecting on his leadership journey, Nana Addai Brobbey pointed to his service as a former assemblyman for the Asaam Electoral Area, a role he said helped him understand the needs of his people while shaping his ability to serve diligently. He acknowledged that the trust reposed in him today was built on years of selfless community service and hard work.
The seasoned broadcaster further encouraged the youth of Asante Mampong and beyond to uphold values such as humility, discipline, and respect, stressing that these virtues remain essential in grooming future leaders.
