Kumasi is set for a historic night of music, culture, and entertainment as Ghanaian rapper Oseikrom Sikani, drill artiste O’Kenneth, and energetic hype man AJ Aroma headline the MTN-AshantiFest Music Concert grand finale on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the iconic Heroes Park. The much-anticipated event is expected to bring Kumasi alive as thousands of fans gather for a night of electrifying performances and cultural celebration.

The concert, which forms the climax of this year’s AshantiFest celebrations, is being organized by the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council in collaboration with telecommunications giant MTN Ghana as the proud headline sponsor.

The event is designed to promote tourism, celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Ashanti Region, and drive socio-economic development through a blend of entertainment, arts, sports, and trade activities.

Ahead of the grand finale, preparations have reached an advanced stage, with security, logistics, and stage production systems fully intensified to ensure a smooth and safe experience for patrons. The event is expected to attract music lovers from across the Ashanti Region and beyond, making it one of the biggest entertainment gatherings of the year.

Headline act Oseikrom Sikani is expected to deliver a high-energy performance featuring popular hits such as Bend Your Body, Ronaldinho, and Fine Girl. Known for his electrifying stage presence and strong connection with fans, he is widely tipped to dominate the night’s performances.

O’Kenneth, one of Ghana’s leading drill artistes, is also expected to bring raw street energy to the stage with his signature sound and growing catalogue of hit songs. His performance is anticipated to resonate strongly with the youth audience. AJ Aroma will complement the lineup with his energetic hype performances and crowd engagement skills, ensuring a lively atmosphere throughout the concert.

The AshantiFest initiative has, in the lead-up to the finale, recorded a series of successful programmes including a regional U-17 football tournament, a vibrant food fair showcasing local delicacies, and a street art festival that transformed parts of Kumasi into a colourful cultural exhibition space. The mural projects, led by students from various senior high schools, have enhanced the city’s aesthetic appeal while promoting Ghanaian culture, identity, and creativity.

The festival is being championed under the leadership of the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, whose vision and commitment have been instrumental in positioning AshantiFest as one of the region’s most impactful cultural and developmental platforms.

The grand finale will also coincide with the closing of the AshantiFest Trade Expo, which has provided a vibrant platform for entrepreneurs, artisans, and businesses to showcase their products and services. The expo has been widely praised for stimulating local economic activity and fostering business networking opportunities within the region.

As anticipation continues to build, Kumasi is expected to host thousands of revelers for a night of unforgettable performances and cultural celebration. Organizers have assured the public that all necessary arrangements are in place to guarantee safety, order, and a world-class concert experience.

With a powerful lineup, strong institutional backing, and overwhelming public excitement, the MTN-AshantiFest Music Concert is poised to deliver a memorable finale, further strengthening Kumasi’s reputation as a leading hub for culture, tourism, and live entertainment in Ghana.
