MP Yaw Frimpong Addo and DCE Clement Opoku Gyamfi Commission 20-Seater Toilet Facility for Manso Datano Community

The Member of Parliament for Manso Adubia, Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo, together with the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amansie South District, Hon. Lawyer Clement Opoku Gyamfi, have officially commissioned a modern 20-seater toilet facility for the Manso Datano community. This project is aimed at enhancing sanitation and improving the general health and well-being of residents in the area.

The new facility, which was commissioned in a brief ceremony, forms part of broader efforts by the local leadership to address the long-standing sanitation challenges that have plagued the community. Prior to this development, many residents had been grappling with the lack of adequate sanitation facilities, which posed significant health risks, especially for children and the elderly.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo emphasized the critical importance of sanitation in safeguarding public health. He noted that the provision of the 20-seater toilet facility is in line with the government’s vision of ensuring that every community has access to clean and hygienic amenities.

“Good sanitation is the foundation of good health, and it is our duty as leaders to ensure that our communities are equipped with the necessary infrastructure to support this. I encourage the people of Manso Datano to maintain this facility well so that it can serve its purpose for many years to come,” the MP stated.

On his part, Hon. Clement Opoku Gyamfi expressed the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring the well-being of all communities in the district. He remarked that the commissioning of the toilet facility is a testament to the district’s resolve to promote development through the provision of essential social infrastructure.

“This is not just about improving sanitation; it is about improving lives. We want to see a healthier, more productive Manso Datano, and we will continue to work hard to ensure that development projects reach every corner of the district,” the DCE assured.

The facility, which was constructed with the support of the district assembly, is expected to serve the entire Manso Datano community and help curb the practice of open defecation, which has been a major concern for local health authorities.

Residents of the community, especially women and children, expressed their joy and gratitude to the MP and DCE for the initiative. They noted that the facility will significantly reduce the health risks associated with poor sanitation and called on authorities to replicate such projects in other parts of the district.

With the commissioning of this toilet facility, the Manso Datano community can now boast of improved sanitation infrastructure, marking a step forward in the district’s development efforts. Both leaders pledged to continue working together to address the needs of the people and ensure that all communities in the district benefit from similar initiatives.
