MP Shirley Kyei Thanks God and Constituents, Calls for Renewed Support Ahead of 2028 Elections

The Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South, Hon. Shirley Kyei, on Sunday, January 4, 2026, toured selected churches within her constituency to express gratitude to God and to appreciate constituents for their support since she assumed office.

The thanksgiving visit, which formed part of her activities at the start of the year, was aimed at acknowledging God’s guidance, protection, and mercies in her leadership journey. Hon. Kyei praised God for the lives of the people of Atwima Nwabiagya South, party executives, and all supporters who have contributed to her work as a Member of Parliament.

Speaking at the Christ Apostolic Church International (CACI) at Nkawie Central, the MP expressed profound appreciation to the church leadership and congregants for their endorsement and support during the last general elections. She noted that the prayers and encouragement she received from the Christian community continue to strengthen her resolve to serve the constituency diligently.

Hon. Shirley Kyei also reflected on the outcome of the 2024 general elections, stating that although she had wished for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to retain political power, the party did not emerge victorious. Despite the setback, she expressed confidence in the future of the party and appealed to constituents to remain steadfast and united, with the hope of returning the NPP to power in the 2028 general elections.

The MP further urged residents to continue supporting her leadership, assuring them of her commitment to championing development, advocating for the needs of the constituency, and representing their interests effectively in Parliament.

The Circuit Pastor of the church, Reverend Humphrey Assafuah, led the congregation in special prayers for Hon. Shirley Kyei, constituency executives, and party faithful. The prayers sought divine wisdom, guidance, protection, and strength for the MP to succeed in her parliamentary duties.

The church community encouraged the MP and reaffirmed their spiritual support, committing to continuous prayers for her leadership and the overall development of Atwima Nwabiagya South.
